Today, I finally pull myself out of the usual self proclaimed “busy schedule” to don my Exercise attire to exercise and enjoy the cool evening.
I have been writing so much about destruction of history and nature in my previous blog that I amazingly convince myself to visit Bt Timah Hill – after more than 20 years of absence.
I recall the last visit was a Group trip up the slopes in my secondary school days.
Time flies.
It is a perfect weather today to go up the hill. The path up the hill is mostly sheltered by the forest canopy formed by the tall imposing trees. I do not know whether it is always that cooling or is it due to the rain that showered the area in the afternoon. The walk up the hill is particularly cooling. The breeze that greets me in the face carries with it a fresh taste of nature that is simply invigorating. Sounds of insects pierce the tranquility that is so much treasured in our modern living.
It takes me 20 minutes to stroll up to the summit as I indulge in the freshness that the natural vegetation provides.
I am telling myself that I need to do this more often.
I simply needs to pen down this blog to document this pleasant experience today.
